Getting help for a component

Every component in the palette has its own help topic — a description, worked examples and, for many, a truth table. The fastest way in is contextual: right-click any component in the Components panel and choose Show help for [name]; the Help panel opens straight to that topic, no searching required. You can reach the same content by typing the component's name into the Help menu's search box, or by browsing the Components chapter of the documentation index (Help → View documentation).

Basic

Right-click a component

In the Components panel, right-click any component's icon. A small context menu appears with a single item, Show help for [name]. Selecting it opens the Help panel already scrolled to that component's topic — description, examples and, where relevant, a truth table.

Intermediate

Searching instead

If you already know what you're looking for, type into the search box at the top of the Help menu — matches are checked against each topic's title, description and keywords, so multi-word queries like 'flip flop' or 'bus splitter' work too. Press Enter or pick a result to open it, or browse the full Components chapter from Help → View documentation if you'd rather scroll than search.
